Are you an overseas student undertaking courses in an Australian
university like La Trobe University?
To make this experience easier for you, the La Trobe Credit
Union can open a banking account before you even arrive in
Australia. That means when you get here, all you need to do
is show us your identification. Australian laws require us
to see acceptable identification, so make sure you bring your
passport.
We will provide you with the international SWIFT code and
account details so you can transfer funds into your account
ready to use when you arrive.
La Trobe Credit Union has convenient branches at the Bundoora,
Bendigo and Albury-Wodonga campus to make it easy for you
to receive and withdrawal overseas funds while you study.
Like
you, we work in closely with La Trobe University’s International
Programs Office to help visiting students open accounts prior
to arrival. To make sure we understand the needs and requirements
of international students, we have senior members of the International
Programs Office on our Board of Directors; including Arlene
Peace and Charles Mott.
